The lifelong dream and vision of the clients challenged Siteworks from the outset as the property selected to house the museum bore none of the traits one might attribute to the style and moxie of the mid-century motorsports era. Inspired by the vision and program presented to them, Siteworks’ design and build teams set to work to meticulously transform the 80,000 square foot tilt-up concrete warehouse.

Strategically designed and inserted structural upgrades brought the warehouse up to code for its new use, while expansive replacements of glazed curtain walls brought energy efficiency and a mid-century architectural focus.

Siteworks was able to curate the entire museum experience with custom designed and fabricated furniture, fixtures, interactive displays, and support workspaces. All branding, environmental graphics, signage, and way-finding were also carefully considered by the Siteworks team and deliver a world class museum experience to visitors of all ages.

“Siteworks is a fine example of successfully merging the skills of their branding, design and construction teams.”
