Location
PORTLAND, OREGON

Located along one of Portland’s prime bicycle corridors, the bike-centric design is not only a nod to the two-wheeled lifeblood of Portland transportation but also to HUB’s DNA. Custom bike frames form the bar canopy while reclaimed NW wood planking lines the walls. An art installation of “99 bottles of beer on the wall” uses repurposed bike water bottle holders to create a focal point that ties the space together.

Custom growler light fixtures and beer can partition walls provide opportunities for playful design interaction with patrons, while an outdoor patio space equipped with a stormwater landscape swale further enhance the brewery’s mission for sustainability. But Siteworks was really able to bring this core value to life by linking all major equipment to alternative energy sources, making Hopworks 100% renewably-powered and “cradle to gate” carbon neutral.

Siteworks is honored to have worked with HUB from their very beginnings as brewers and retailers, collaborating with them successfully for more than 10 years. Visit the pub but be sure to hit one of the stationary bikes that allows customers to put energy back into the building’s grid while waiting for a barstool to open up!
